Questions and answers

We require a commercial invoice, a customs declaration (e.g., T1 or BL), and authorization for customs clearance. Please contact us at info@amc-nl.com for guidance and documents to complete. An export and packing list are also welcome, if available. In some cases, additional documents may be required, such as EUR.1 certificates of origin.

The main expenses are customs duty, VAT and our service rates. The amount of duty depends on the type of product and the country of origin, while VAT depends on the value of the product.

The processing time depends on the type of goods, documents and the current load on customs. Registration continues for full documentation
on average, up to 3 hours after the application is submitted. If additional verification is required, this time is extended.

If the goods are detained, we contact customs to explain the reason and provide missing documents or additional information. Our Customs service handles all the formalities for you, helping you resolve your issue faster.

Deferred VAT allows importers to pay VAT late. This option is available for companies that are active VAT payers. In particular, we have benefits in the Netherlands in the framework of deferred VAT payment for entrepreneurs.

In most cases, yes, the duty is required because imported goods are subject to customs regulation. The duty rate depends on the type of goods, the country of origin and their value, and some goods are exempt from duty.
